Birth Rune Fehu (June 29 to July 14)

If you were born between June 29 and July 14, happy birthday! Your birth rune is Fehu. The Norn gifted you with your birth rune to help you achieve your destiny and fulfill your purpose.

There’s also a birth hour rune that relates to your day to day life, and an ascending rune that reveals how you are perceived and how you manifest the divine. If you’d like a personal “rune-scope” reading, just message me!

Birth rune 6 29 to 7 14 FehuThe literal translation of Fehu is “money”, “cattle”, or “wealth”; it refers to some form of movable wealth, or any possession that could lead to or generate wealth, such as an inherent skill or hard work.

Fehu is the first in the runic alphabet and it is Frey’s rune. As the god of fertility (a form of wealth), the rune represents abundance. Not needless luxury, but having plenty to provide the basic necessities. Fehu focuses on what we enter our lives with, so wealth may include any gift or talent we inherit that can used to provide for basic needs, or even monetized.

So what does this rune mean for you?

Remember first that each of us has a lesson to learn on this journey through life, and if Fehu is your birth rune, here’s how it will help:

You’re a core Cancer.

You find it natural to nurture others and you’re more empathic than other signs. But you’re here to learn how to nurture yourself and connect with your own feelings.

Fehu links directly with wealth but it also signifies things that bring wealth, such as new beginnings and fresh starts, right conditions, and of course, luck. But wealth without stewardship isn’t wealth for very long, and wealth doesn’t come without work. So Fehu also rules over the ability to hold and make use of the potential energy (of things, of conditions, of effort, and of luck) that translate to wealth.

Your wealth, in this context, is your natural ability to connect and care for others. Fehu gives you the ability to invest that same wealth in yourself. Think of it as potential energy, just sitting and waiting to be used. This is the source of all wealth in your life, it’s up to you to direct it. But this is more than just “the magic was in you all along.”

There’s something special here.

Because Fehu is about new beginnings, think of it as a wealth cycle. Its gifts are sustainable as long as you continue to put effort into them, you receive them with humility, and you respect and care for them. In the grand scheme of things, the gifts could be anything. As your birth rune, Fehu represents your gift of nurturing and connection with others at a physical and spiritual level. When you put that energy out there, it returns to you. Chances are, you feel somewhat fulfilled when you’re using your gifts.

But what do you think could happen if you turn the same energy loose within yourself? I’ll give you some ideas: greater creativity and will, more self-confidence, and enhanced intuition and insights. And the more you use these things, the more sustainable they become as they circulate or cycle around. It’s self care that ripples out and has a positive impact on other areas of your life.

As a water sign, you tend to think for yourself and you probably have a creative streak. Applying Fehu’s energy to these two characteristics (just being mindful about your own processes) will help you align very quickly with right action and right understanding. And since wealth is a creative process in every sense, consider how nurturing yourself might be highly beneficial to that process.
